
Our destination today is Eco Amazonia Lodge. We will travel by boat along the Madre De Dios River to reach our destination, an extraordinary ecological reserve spanning over 1,400 square miles in the heart of the rainforest in Tambopata, Puerto Maldonado. This lush paradise will be our home for the next 6 nights.
Eco Amazonia lodge has 50 bungalows designed and built with local materials - following standards of environmental and social responsibility. Each bungalow is equipped with nets and private bathrooms.
There is a dining hall- where all of our meals will be included. There is also a large screened in swimming pool for guests to enjoy. The Botanical garden showcasing the regions remarkable plant diversity is right on site!
There are different excursions offered at the lodge with experienced guides that we will have the opportunity to enjoy throughout the week - Monkey Island, River Tours to observe turtles, spot caiman and enjoy the vibrant birdlife. We will listen and watch for Howler Monkeys! The Amazon Rainforest in Peru is known for its incredible biodiversity- and is the perfect place to immerse yourself into nature.
