Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive energy healing practice that promotes balance and relaxation by encouraging the natural flow of energy within the body. Originating from Japan, Reiki is based on the idea that a universal life force flows through all living beings. When this energy is low or blocked, it can lead to physical or emotional imbalance.
During a Reiki session, the practitioner channels this healing energy through their hands, either by gently placing them on or near the body. Clients often experience a sense of deep calm, reduced stress, and enhanced overall well-being.
Traditional Usui Reiki Training is the original system of Reiki developed by Mikao Usui in Japan in the early 20th century. It follows a structured path of spiritual and energetic development through three main levels, each building on the last.
Reiki is rooted in simplicity and presence.
Practitioners live by 5 Reiki Principles:
Just for today, I will not be angry.
Just for today, I will not worry.
Just for today, I will be grateful.
Just for today, I will do my work honestly.
Just for today, I will be kind to every living thing.
Reiki has been an important part of my life now for the better part of 17 years - since my first attunement. But my experiences with Reiki actually began back in my teen years, when my father became a Reiki Master. I suffered with back pain from a childhood injury, and had issues with my wisdom teeth. He would give me Reiki and I would feel great relief every time- I didn't think much of it, and did not dive into it until I was about 25 years old.
After my first attunement- I saw the world differently- connected with nature differently and felt an opening of my heart and myself. I moved into Level II as soon as I could- and began to practice Reiki on family and friends. The intuition that opened up for me in Level II was intense, fascinating and so exciting for me. I quickly developed such a beautiful connection and deep respect for this practice.
In 2010 I became a Reiki Master and have taught classes ever since. I teach all levels of Reiki, I teach to small groups, large groups and I even offer one on one classes . I have never had a class I didn’t enjoy- and I am always learning new things from my students. Reiki is a part of my life - I give it to myself, my plants, my animals, my water, my food, and bless everything I put out into this world with it.
Whether you are feeling called to bring Reiki into your life, you are in need of a refresher or you are ready to move into the next Level of training ~ I would be honoured to be a part of your Reiki journey ~ In Light, Ashley
